“Thanksgiving” es una tradición de Canadá y Estados Unidos. En español se le conoce como “día de acción de gracias”
Fact: In the US, the holiday is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, but in Canada, it is celebrated on the second Monday in October.
En Estados Unidos se celebra el último jueves de noviembre, pero en Canadá, el segundo lunes de octubre.
Did you know: The holiday originated as a harvest festival in the 1600s and consisted of three days of feasting.

The word turkey in Spanish has two words: Guajolote is an Indigenous term for “turkey” in Mexico and Pavo which is the most common one among the new generations. Potatoes are from Peru. There are over 4,000 kinds of potatoes in Peru.
Squash in Latin America look different than in the United States. They are green — not orange.

Las papas son originarias de Perú: ¡hay alrededor de cuatro mil variedades de papas! y las calabazas son de México, hay largas y redondas y son verdes, no anaranjadas como en Estados Unidos.
