Do UC admissions have access to your previous applications including your old personal statement? A: Yes, the UCs do have access to the entire previous application/s and they will definitely look, mainly to check for discrepancies (date changes, Extra-Curricular switches, etc).
Do UC schools accept letters recommendation?
UC does not require (nor read) letters of recommendation at the time of application. A campus may ask for them later as part of a supplemental review, so be sure to check your email.

Can you transfer to a UC after 1 year?
Is it possible to transfer to a UC in one year with TAG? o Yes, but it is much harder as there are additional requirements to obtain a TAG agreement since it guarantees your major as well. Only TAG if the student already has 20 semester credits. UCLA, UCB, and UCSD also do not offer TAG agreements.
What is the 7 course pattern?
Complete UC’s required 7-course pattern with a grade of C or better (each must be at least 3 semester/4 quarter units): 2 in English composition, 1 in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning, 4 in at least 2 of these areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical and biological sciences.
Can I transfer without Igetc?
No. Completion of IGETC is not an admission requirement or admission guarantee for transfer to CSU or UC, nor is it the only way to fulfill the lower-division, general education requirements. Check with a counselor for more information.
Can I change my major after I transfer?
It is possible to change your major or even declare a Major if you transfer to (most) Liberal Arts colleges, but could be a bit difficult if you are going to an engineering college. It would probably depend on the major. Make an appointment to speak with an advisor.
Can you still walk for graduation if you fail a class?
If you are failing a class in your final semester, will you still be able to walk at your scheduled commencement? Yes as long as you have the required credits for the graduation. However, since Gen. ED is required for your diploma they might require to take the class again and then hand you the diploma.
What if I fail a class senior year?
If you are a senior, that failing grade WILL delay your date of graduation. Definitely talk to your academic counselor. If you repeat the same class and get a better grade, some high schools will replace the F with the new grade, but some will just show both grades, resulting in the two grades averaging out on the GPA.
Can I still graduate if I fail a class in high school?
If you fail a required class, you must repeat it. You can do that either in summer school or retake it. If you fail an elective, you don’t have to repeat it. You need 29 credits to graduate, so it is possible to fail three classes and still graduate with your class if you don’t go to summer school.
Does repeating a grade look bad to colleges?
No, not at all. Colleges truly do read the essays you write to apply, and you will obviously include in your essay that you repeated the grade in order to be best prepared for an American university education.
